We Went for a walk

I was invited by B. A. McRae to draw the cover for her new novel “We Went For a Walk”. The goal for this cover was to capture an autumn theme, with leaves, trees, nature and a color palette that would resemble this season.

This novella is a story about two people who are destined to meet each other so they can put one another on the paths they are meant to be on.

In this illustration I tried to capture the essence of the story by giving a spotlight to the main characters and giving a cozy contrast with nature and textures used. I also did the lettering for the cover. The whole process was very inspiring and challenging. I tried to make something different, some layered, fluid and intriguing. I was very happy with the result because I really think it invites the reader to know more about the story and it captures its essence without giving way too much.
