Window Work in Downtown Houston, Texas

I was one of the 18 winners of an open call for artists by UpArtStudio.

“Wild Flowers” includes flowers from my imagination, and my monochromatic dreams. In creating the piece, I wanted to deconstruct the idea of perfection, instead I employed sketched flowers, leaves and grass to create an abstract, chaotic image that would look aesthetically appealing.

About the WindowWorks:

There’s a new mural in town! 18 of them to be exact. The Downtown District [@DowntownHouston] and @UpArtStudio are excited to introduce you to #WindowWorks – a public art program that transforms vacant and inactive storefronts along Main Street through bold, vibrant designs. Featuring everything from inspiring images to H-Town icons, WindowWorks consists of pieces created by 18 Texas-based visual artists such as photographers, graphic designers and muralists. To plan the ultimate self-guided tour, visit ArtBlocksHouston and be sure to share your photos by tagging #ArtBlocksHou on social media!
